I'm Caitlin, the Registered Nurse behind Skin Aesthetic in Daylesford. Here's a bit more about my background, my approach and how I work.
Every consultation starts with you, your concerns, your goals and your skin. Through evidence-based practice, ongoing education and a genuine commitment to your safety, I aim to make every visit feel informed, unhurried and honest.
My Experience
My career started in high-acuity hospital nursing, and I've been a Registered Nurse since 2007.
After years in fast-paced hospital environments, I was drawn to cosmetic nursing because it let me slow down and actually get to know the people I was treating. I still think of what I do here as healthcare, just a different kind: careful assessment, honest advice, and a plan that's built around you, not a menu.
Outside the clinic, I'm a mum of three boys and I live on a farm, so I understand better than most that self-care has to fit around real life, not the other way around. That's part of why I keep Skin Aesthetic small: it's just me, so you're never getting a different practitioner or a rushed appointment.
My Philosophy
I like to think of it this way: look after the garden bed, and the plants will grow. Good results start with good skin health and honest groundwork, not shortcuts. Treatments can help, but they work best alongside genuine care for your skin and your health, not instead of it.
I'm also honest about what's achievable. Part of my job is telling you what will suit you, and sometimes what won't, so you leave every consultation with a plan that's realistic for you, not just a treatment booked in.
